Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 09 August 2025
Welcome to the Mummy’s Fables website. By visiting and using this site, you agree to the terms and conditions set out below. These terms are designed to explain how we operate our website, how we present and sell our products, and what you can expect from us. If you do not agree with these terms, we kindly ask that you do not continue to use the site.
Mummy’s Fables is the trading name of Mel Scott-Avis, based in the United Kingdom. We create and promote children’s books and related resources that are designed to entertain, inspire, and teach valuable life lessons. Our website address is www.mummysfables.com, and the best way to get in touch with us is by emailing mel@mummysfables.com. “Mummy’s Fables” is a pending UK trademark. This means that the name, brand identity, and associated logos and artwork are legally protected, and may not be used without our written permission. All other content on this site – including text, illustrations, photographs, and design elements – is owned by or licensed to Mummy’s Fables and is protected by copyright law.
We work hard to keep the information on this site accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee that it will always be entirely free from errors. From time to time, we may make changes to the site, update content, or remove sections altogether. We may also make changes to these Terms & Conditions, and when we do, we will post the updated version here with a new “last updated” date so you know when it was last reviewed.
At present, all Mummy’s Fables products are sold through trusted third-party retailers such as Amazon and IngramSpark. When you click to purchase a book or any other product, you will be taken to the relevant third-party website. The sale, including payment, delivery, returns, and any customer service, is handled entirely by that retailer under their own terms and conditions. Because we do not directly handle these transactions, we are not able to process or approve returns or refunds ourselves. If you have a problem with your order, or if you wish to return an item, you will need to contact the retailer you purchased from and follow their returns policy. We recommend checking their terms carefully before placing an order, so you understand how they handle cancellations, returns, and refunds.
From time to time, our site may include links to other websites or platforms. These are provided for your convenience or to give you additional information about our work. However, we do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or terms of use. Clicking a link to a third-party site is at your own discretion.
We take reasonable care in operating this website, but we cannot guarantee it will always be available or completely free from technical problems. We will not be liable for any loss or damage that results from your use of our site or from purchases made through third-party retailers. This includes any indirect, consequential, or incidental loss. The only exceptions to this are situations where the law does not allow us to exclude liability, such as for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes relating to these terms, or to your use of the Mummy’s Fables website, will be dealt with in the courts of England and Wales.
If you have any questions about these terms, please contact us at mel@mummysfables.com. We are always happy to explain how we work and what you can expect when you interact with Mummy’s Fables, whether you are browsing our site, buying our books, or simply enjoying the stories we share.
